Terms
Terms of use, plainly.
What you get when you buy or try LabNote, and what we ask of you.

This page is written in plain terms. It is not legal advice and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
Who we are
LabNote, the Windows application and this website, is published by the publisher of LabNote (the name will be shown here before sales open). Write to us at [email protected].
The trial
- LabNote works for 7 days from its first launch on a PC, with no account and no payment.
- After 7 days it stops opening until you sign in with an account that holds an active licence. Your experiments stay on your PC, and the lock screen lets you export them.
- Reinstalling LabNote does not start a new trial on the same PC.
The licence
- A licence lets one person use LabNote on up to 2 PCs. It belongs to one email address, and each email address holds at most one licence.
- A licence does not expire. It includes 1 year of updates from the day you buy it.
- It covers every version of LabNote released on or before the date your updates end. Those versions keep working for good. A version released after that date needs an updates renewal, which adds 365 days.
- A licence key belongs to the first email address that enters it. Please do not share your key or sign in on PCs that are not yours.
- A licence that is refunded, or whose payment is reversed, stops working the next time LabNote checks it.
- Buying and paying go through Paddle.com, which is the merchant of record for LabNote orders. Paddle’s own terms apply to the payment.
Your records
- Your experiments and attachments are stored on your PC. You own them.
- You are responsible for keeping your own copies of your data, and for meeting any rules that apply to your laboratory. LabNote does not claim to meet any regulation or standard.
No guarantee, and limits
- LabNote is provided as it is. We work to make it dependable, but we cannot promise it will have no errors or work on every PC.
- To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any loss is limited to the amount you paid for LabNote.
- Nothing here limits rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot be set aside.
Changes and questions
If we change these terms, the new version appears here with a new date. See also the refund page and the privacy page. Questions: [email protected].
